The HP Welcome Centre on Collins Street, Melbourne provides an interactive showroom for HP’s top PC’s, retail point-of-sale systems, and printing products — including graphics, large-format printers and onsite tech support at the HP Service Bar. It also provides a small, but critical, number of shared meeting rooms and collaboration spaces that allow travelling HP staff and some of HP’s Clients, a place to host meetings and collaborate when required.

VC Systems were asked to refresh the technology in these three rooms to enhance both the rooms ease of use, and functionality of the rooms to improve the overall experience and capability for its users.

The largest boardroom is fitted with dual 85″ Sony Pro Bravia displays at the front of the room housed in a custom-built frame, and a third 75″ Sony Pro Bravia along the side wall used as a supporting monitor when sharing content, with an AVer CAM520 camera for video capture. For audio, a combination of Shure MXA310 tabletop microphones, QCS Amplifier and Speakers and a QCS Core110f DSP was used.

HP requested a different solution in each room to showcase the various room types available to Zoom users considering Zoom Rooms, so the other larger room was kitted out slightly differently. We replicated the dual 85″ Sony Pro Bravia displays at the front of the room, with no requirement for a supporting third display, and wall mounted an AVer CAM520 camera below the screens. QSC ceiling speakers were also used in this room however MXL AC404 USB tabletop microphones were selected in place of the Shure MXA’s.

Finally, the small huddle room was fitted with two smaller 55″ Sony Pro Bravia displays, a AVer CAM520 camera and a FLX UC 500 speakerphone which provided a nice entry level room solution.

HP naturally used their own HP Elite X2 devices for controllers in all 3 rooms.
